Emergency Dentistry

At Gulf Dental, we don’t want you to have to suffer through pain or dental trauma any longer than you have to, so we offer same-day and after-hours emergency dentistry services.

Some indicators of a dental emergency are:

  • A knocked-out tooth.
  • Loss of a dental restoration, such as a crown.
  • A loose permanent tooth.
  • Severe bleeding.
  • A foreign object stuck in the gums.
  • Severe tooth pain.

In case of a dental emergency that appears to be life-threatening, call 911 immediately. If your jaw appears to be broken, call 911.

When you call our office for non-life-threatening dental injuries, we will first instruct you on how to relieve pain and swelling based on the injury that you describe. We will also give you instructions on what to do if you have a broken tooth or if your tooth has been completely knocked out. Timing is particularly critical for teeth that are knocked out, so call immediately if you have knocked out a tooth.

When you arrive at our offices, we will immediately examine you for any unseen injuries. Sometimes the initial shock and pain of an obvious injury could mask another injury that is not so obvious. A broken or dislocated jaw could go undetected if not properly examined.

With the convenience of same-day access and after-hours access, you will be able to receive the care necessary to diagnose and treat your dental injury. We will also be able to determine if you will need a surgical procedure to fix repair the injury. Above all else, we want you to feel empowered by having access to professional dental care when you have a dental injury.

When that inconvenient dental emergency occurs, please give us a call, including after hours. We will provide you with the information and treatment necessary to fix your injury and relieve your pain!
